New to Charltons' Blue Safety Coaches, Hebburn on Tyne, for use on Newcastle upon Tyne - London route.  Acquired by United Automobile Services and allocated fleet number LT89, downgraded to local bus work.  Requisitioned by the Admiralty in 1942 and sent to Malta to provide transport for troops.  Sold for use as a route bus in Malta after the War and allocated registration 17912 and operated "as was" with UK built half cabbed body until 1965, when rebodied by its' current Debono body.  Front of bus "modernised" during the 1970s.

ACY 863


The fire damaged remains of Garden of Eden Plaxton bodied Bedford YMT ACY 863, seen outside their premises in 1997.


Seen below is its' replacement, a 1991 Leyland Tiger, with Plaxton Paramount C53F bodywork, new to Ambassador Travel as H381 TNG, fleet number 121.
