ACY 854

ACY 854 is a Unicar C53F bodied Bedford YMT, new in the UK to Moon, Shepshed, Leicestershire, registered EBC 567T.  Formerly registered Y-0854 in Malta.

Edit (08/04/23) - It has subsequently returned to the UK, where it was reunited with its' former registration, and carrying Paul S Winson livery.

ACY 918

ACY 918 was a 1977 Duple Dominant C53F bodied Bedford YMT, new to Wood, Wigston as SNR 632R.  Operated by Cancu Supreme Travel and previously registered Y-0918 in Malta.

FBY 045

FBY 045, seen here at Gozo College Secondary School, was a 1979 Bedford YMT, carrying a Duple Dominant C53F body, new as FKX 275T to Cavalier, Hounslow.

LCY 892

LCY 892 was a 1979 Plaxton Supreme C53F bodied Bedford YMT, new to Stanbridge Motor Services, Dorset, as CEL 104T.

Operating for the KopTaCo Cooperative, it is seen above in the early 90s and, below, in September 2005.  Previously registered Y-0892 in Malta.

FBY 034

FBY 034 was a Duple Dominant C53F bodied Bedford YMT, registered SBC 57R and new to County, Leicestershire as their fleet number 57.  Operating as an Unscheduled Bus on Malta, registered Y-0860 and LCY 860,  coming to Gozo in the year 2000 and becoming FBY 034.

FBY 031

FBY 031 was a 1976 Bedford YMT, fitted with Duple Dominant C53F bodywork.  New to Reliance, Newbury, registered LTF 224P.

Seen in the Bus Station in Victoria (Rabat) in April 2009.

 

KCY 872

KCY 872 was a 1977 Bedford YMT, fitted with Duple Dominant C53F bodywork.

New as UTV 813S to Rogers, Rainforth.  It was formerly registered Y-0872 in Malta.  Of note is the after market fitment of Air Conditioning, a must have in Malta!

KCY 870

KCY 870 was a Duple Dominant C53F bodied Bedford YMT, new to County, Leicestershire in 1979 as BRY 63T.

Pictured in the layover area of the bus station in Valletta, awaiting the return of its' load of tourists.  Operated by the KopTaCo Cooperative.

KCY 864

KCY 864 is a Plaxton Supreme bodied Bedford YMT, new in 1980 as KBH 856V to Clarkes, London.

Operating as an unscheduled bus on Malta for Welcome Garage, it carried the registration Y-0864 when first imported.

This coach has returned to the UK for preservation, believed with York Pullman.

ACY 863

The fire damaged remains of Garden of Eden Plaxton bodied Bedford YMT ACY 863, seen outside their premises in 1997.

Seen below is its' replacement, a 1991 Leyland Tiger, with Plaxton Paramount C53F bodywork, new to Ambassador Travel as H381 TNG, fleet number 121.

 

KCY 855

KCY 855 was a 1980 Bedford YMT, fitted with Duple Dominant C53F bodywork.  New as EHE 225V to National Travel East, latterly operating for Anderson, Westerhope, Newcastle upon Tyne.  Originally allocated registration number Y-0855 when imported to Malta.  Seen at the ferry terminal, Ċirkewwa, Malta 29th March 2008.
